2. Service description

SoundLocal provides a language learning platform that enables the following features:

  • Natural language expression generation and learning tools.
  • Integration with payment processing services.
  • Language proficiency level tracking and content.
  • Study tools and resources for language learners.
  • User progress tracking and analytics.

3. Account terms

3.1 Account creation

When creating an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account requirements

To create and maintain an account, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Provide valid contact and payment information.
  • Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Maintain accurate account information.
  • Protect your account credentials.

4. Subscription and payments

4.1 Pricing and billing

All payments are processed through Stripe. Prices are subject to change with notice. You agree to pay all charges at the prices in effect when incurring the charges.

4.2 Subscription terms

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.
  • Billing occurs on a recurring basis depending on your chosen plan.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
  • Refunds are processed according to our refund policy.

4.3 Refund policy

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase. We evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Processing fees are non-refundable.

5. User responsibilities

As a user of our Service, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain appropriate rights for distributed content.
  • Ensure uploaded content is free from malware and viruses.
  • Maintain accurate payment and delivery information.
  • Use the service in good faith and as intended.

7. Intellectual property

Users retain their intellectual property rights to uploaded content. By using our Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, and deliver your content as necessary to provide the Service.

8. Service level agreement (SLA)

We strive to maintain a high level of service availability:

  • Target uptime of 99.9% measured monthly.
  • Scheduled maintenance windows with advance notice.
  • Emergency maintenance as required for security or stability.
  • Support response within 24 business hours.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SoundLocal, its affiliates, officers, agents, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms.
  • Engage in fraudulent activity.
  • Fail to pay applicable fees.
  • Abuse the Service or other users.

12. Dispute resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through:

  • Initial informal negotiation.
  • Mediation if negotiation fails.
  • Binding arbitration as a last resort.

13. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Service. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, and any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate jurisdiction.
